Six Months later

Hello all,

Well Sunday William helped mama plant gladiola bulbs and then helped papa pull weeds in the backyard and checked out an lady bug. He is growing fast 4 inches in 6 months, 10 pounds and has 13 new teeth. He knows over 50 English words and is working on I love you. Just returned from a vacation with us and grandma Jean in Cozumel and has his second stamp in his passport. He loves the water and is slowly gaining a respect for it.

He goes to gymnastics on Saturday and to Smart Start day care 6 hours a week to play with the kids, he loves kids and makes friends easily.

Hope all is well in your world.

Chasing Butterflies

We are home with William Ellis Dremann-Charlesworth. He bacame a US citizen on September 11, 2009. We crossed our doorstep at ~ midnight on Septtember 11th, right on the cusp of our birthdays. David's is the 11th and mine is the 12th.

William has been adjusting well and we have had many sweet moments. Today we walked the pasture and he chased the yellow sulfer butterflies. He is eating well, laughing and sleeping well. We are busy getting caught up and making plans to enjoy the fall.

We will post updates as we have time.

Warm regards,
Karen and David Charlesworth

Whoppee We are traveling next week!

Our travel dates were confirmed yesterday. We have flights and an apartment. For those of you heading down this path, someone on the St Petersburg Yahoo group reserved tickets with Golden Rule Travel, and got a great rate. We discovered this too late.

What we need now is our little one to be healthy. Our second trip will be a little farther away than usual as the judges take vacation in July and August.

Will repost when we are home.

Travel Dates

Hello all,

We Have tentative travel dates that will be confirmed tomorrow for June 15th at the MoE in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

We have been researching air fares, unfortunately United just doubled their fares into Saint Petersburg. Karen is going to check in with NWA tomorrow. We are attempting to book an apartment to save funds and do most of our own cooking, which we prefer.

We will be there during white nights which makes booking an apartment more difficult than usual. So wish us luck.

We will repost when we are sure about travel.

warm regards to all,
Karen and David

Saint Petersburg Referral

Hello all,
For those of you watching this blog, thank you for your patience. A short note to let you all know we have accepted an referral for a 14 month old boy in St Petersburg. we are hoping this adoption does not fall apart. Our dossier was registered on May 13, 2009. We are expecting to recieve travel dates by May 23rd. we will keep this blog updated as we know more news. We are in pretty good shape money wise, although we still need to put together travel funds 10-15,000 dollars.

We have lots of baby clothes in the closet, thanks to Dee and Gandalf and still need a stroller, high chair and an car seat. We really want to build a backyard play area also.

We hope you all are well.
Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts.

Orenburg Russia

Hello to all who visit our blog.
We have been in a holding pattern since October 2008, as the Orenburg MoE shut down and is not issuing any travel invitations to adoptive parents waiting to travel. We talked to our Agency this week and their Rep. in Orenburg states that the region should be issuing travel invitations in 2 weeks. So some more wait and see. The babies room is finished and ready!! the closet is full of clothes , thanks to Dee and Gandalf. All is well on our end, no exciting news.
Hope you all have an exciting and blessed 2009.
